App Development for TV Celebrity Noel Edmonds

Website design and marketing company Insignia Creative has designed and developed its first app – for Noel Edmonds’ Internet radio company-Positivity Radio World.

The Torquay based company was asked to design the app by Mr Edmonds after designing and building a series of websites last year for the radio and TV personality whose media company is launching dozens of Internet radio stations.

The free app gives easy access to the radio stations all of which are news free, commercial free and free to listen.

The current portfolio of radio stations includes Positively Bristol and Positively Bath, Positively Talented a station for unsigned and previously undiscovered musical artists, a classical music station Positively Royal and Positively Happy which as the name suggests blends uplifting music with inspirational words of wit and wisdom. There are also 7 Health and Wellness stations including Positively Sleepy, Positively Tranquil and Positively Meditation.

“Listeners can build their own personal soundtrack to suit their lifestyle,” explained Mr Netherclift, adding that Positivity Radio has proved so successful, listeners are tuning in worldwide with the number of stations mushrooming to 14 and plans for a dozen more in the next few months.

“The app will combine all the stations in one package giving even more flexibility in the type of music that can be chosen. Listeners will no longer have to go to different places to find their music; it will all be available from one location. People can listen a lot easier on the move.”

And he explained how Insignia Creative had worked with Mr Edmonds on the idea of going down the app route and ‘progressed it from there’.
“The idea was to have one vehicle to deliver all the radio stations with the potential to reach millions of devices,” he said.
“People can pick and choose through the day, wherever they are, the music they want to listen to. All types of music will be in one place.”

Hundreds of people so far have downloaded the app that, says Mr Netherclift has received ‘no big marketing push’.
“We’re really pleased with the take-up and the comments we’re receiving,” he said.
And the app is proving so successful other companies have already contacted Insignia Creative to develop further apps.
“We’ve had calls from a local company and from a London company,” explained Richard. “It’s a growing market for us.”

And Mr Edmonds has been so pleased with the app he has publicly endorsed it on Twitter with Tweets including: ‘World Listen I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Great work, great prices and on time,’ and ‘New posiradio app is live – yippee 14 stations listed 12 more in next 8 weeks. Great work Insignia well done Team Posi.’

The Positivity Radio app is available for android and Apple devices under the PosiRadio name.
